CLARITY OR DELUSION:

DON’T BE THE JUDGE.

The key to getting to the truth of the matter: Clarity. If you want to save a lot of time and anguish seek to focus on being completely clear on what you think, how you act, and what you communicate.

Do not shade or bend the truth. Be forthright and true. I once had a boss tell me to say what I have to so that I can get what I want, yet to speak in the gray and do not commit to anything. I believe he was alluding to corporate speak. That is no way to communicate. How is one to garner merit or trust or respect when you manipulate and massage your words and intent?

When you seek to create delusion with others you are deluding yourself. The worst lies and falsehoods are the ones we tell ourselves. In the public sphere and arena right now there are lies being told daily that eventually are being accepted as the truth. There are alternative facts. A new reality is taking shape where people do not know to believe.

Do not judge what you believe to be the truth or delusion, but practice discernment. Listen to what you hear. Watch body language. Moreover, trust your gut. Intuitively we know what is true. Be clear about being clear. Know the truth. Speak it. Live it. Be it.

Clear the fog of divisiveness from your conversations. Gossip withers and pollutes the soul and dulls the spirit. Be a light shining in the darkness and seek the truth at all cost regardless of the outcome.

The phantasm of hatred and fear preys on the innocent and longs to discredit, shame and dishearten those who would shine a light on that which is false. Be strong of heart and speak your truth.

Enlightenment – In Three Easy Payments.

  1. Pay attention to your thoughts.  Right thinking is an easy thing to talk about, but a difficult thing to at times to maintain.  As much as we try to think happy, pleasant thoughts, our mind wanders.  We start to question and judge.  Instead of assessing the situation, and giving benefits of doubt, we jump, we even leap to conclusions.  If strive earnestly to cease to cherish our opinions, question our beliefs, and release our convictions, then perhaps we can see the world through the eyes of our child self.  Remember when we young we were so optimistic.  Pay attention to what matters – ask you’re self – are my thoughts helpful; are my thoughts kind, and lastly – are my thoughts the truth as I see it, and feel it.  Trust your gut.  It is the home of Heart Mind intelligence.

  1. Pay attention to your feelings, what is going on in your Heart. Besides being a muscle and a pump, it is our spiritual core.  If more people were in touch with their true feelings, and emotions perhaps the world would not be in the state it is now.  If your angry or hurt, you must pay attention to these feelings, be with them, again pay attention to your thinking about your feelings.  Take a breath, feel how your body is responding.  Do you feel your body tense, are your perspiring, do you want to take flight, or stay and fight.  Sit with these feelings, count to ten.  Access what it is that is making you feel this way.  Are there any memories surfacing?  Remember the impermanent nature of this moment and to the experience, thought, or action that is its trigger.  Let this moment rise like a wave and then let it pass, let it go.   Do this too with the wonderful, joyous moments.  Do not dwell in either state too long, pay attention to this moment.  Do not be averse to anything that life may bring you, or attached to any.  Enlightenment is within you, we just need to be like the calm sea to let it surface.

  1. Pay attention to your innate Intelligence, you know the sense that was given you, that we all have when we enter this world, but that we seem to lose when we grow older. It’s as if our sense of wonder gets bored and our curiosity gets focused on those things that pay our bills, and finds us a mate, the game, the Dow, our neighbor’s recyclables.  We stop seeing shapes in the clouds, and the beautiful, colorful sunsets.  We lose our way, we lose touch with nature, and hence with the nature of all things.  We live in the din of a data-driven world and a state of cognitive dissonance.  We think, or feel something about a cause, or state of affairs, but we do nothing.  Our divine intelligence the link between the Heart-Mind connections gets frayed and we become dulled and diluted to the moment and to the beauty of the trinity of awareness that is Thought, Feeling, and Intelligence.  It is very important that we energize and electrify this vital conduit between our thoughts and feelings to realize enlightenment, Nirvana… Or, we resign ourselves to the profane and mundane.  See the sacred nature in each other, and in all beings, in all of nature.  So that all beings may be free from suffering.

ATTITUDE DEFINES YOUR LATITUDE

Attitude is everything. A positive attitude will get you through the bleakest of times lift you up and carry you forward. A bad attitude will stop you in your tracks, destroy everything that it touches and will spoil the milk and poison the water. It serves no one accepts our shadow and ego. In an attempt to protect it divides and creates derision and division.

What is an attitude but a feeling which transforms into an emotion that solidifies into a mindset, frame of mind, a point of view and a filter or lens in which defines how we interact with the world? The exterior world and our inner landscape.

If you have an open mind have a positive attitude are open to change and approach problems or challenges creatively you will most likely be happier more productive make friends easier are more productive and odds are enjoyable to be around. You are an optimist always seeing the glass half full and has learned to embrace the suck and make the most of a bad situation and know that this too will pass and realize that everything is temporary and take responsibility when you make a mistake. You always are able to rise above the fray and wrap your mind around a situation can put yourself in an others shoes to walk a mile or so and empathy just comes naturally.

If however, you have a closed mind are judgemental and have a bad attitude you don’t like change are fixed in your thinking and feel things will never change you most likely struggle to navigate through your work day get sick often you are constantly in a war of words with friends or family or co-workers and are difficult to be around and have a conversation with. You are a pessimist always see the glass as half empty run from a challenge have a short fuse think that you have the worst luck think things always happen to you are stuck on the trivial issues and always looking to find fault and blame someone else for your mistakes. You probably enjoy wallowing in misery with or without company and takes refuge in indulging in name calling and cannot see an other’s point of view to save your life.

Now, you may be an admixture are some of this and some of that, or you may be clueless or mindless of the difference or turn a blind eye because you could careless or you are present and mindful and know sometimes you stumble and fall but pick yourself up without condemnation or quilt and just try harder the next time and live to fight another day. Perhaps you are just a wretched human being. If that is the case – it is never too late.

Start where you are because you are worth it. Open your mind and free it from the darkness of ignorance and to the light of curiosity and be interested in the world and people around you. Tomorrow is another day. Be grateful have a positive attitude and miracles will come and find you.

Why we are stuck in a RUT!

The Status Qu, Fear of Change, Willful Ignorance

The baby boomers are retiring. Some can work their smartphones, but some refuse to text. Why some cannot accept the inevitable escapes me and leaves me wondering if we will make it to humanity 2.0.

When I hear – because we have always done it this way. There is you probably. When I hear those words it does not surprise me that churches are losing congregates, corporations are losing valued employees or a political party gets lost in the woods.

In a ditch? How did you get there? Whom will you blame? Are you stuck in a rut? How in the world did happen? Will accept personal responsibility or wallow self-pity or get up and out and do something about it?

Me I love getting into the groove. That is being in the same space for a while but exploring your options and being grateful, working with and what you have. There you can see the beauty, enjoy what you are doing and lose track of time. That is what is known as flow.

The Status Qu is standing still. In these new and exciting times, you might as well be lost in the past as well as translation. We change fear change. We must accept the fact the majority of the population may not look like you anymore. I call on you to open your hearts, minds, neighborhoods, and doors. Embrace the future we are living in it. Not to see and understand what is going on in the outside world, outside of your cul-de-sac, or your gated community is willful ignorance. What do not understand?

If we have stuck there in that space a movie that promotes the idea of a purge, or a hunger game, instills in us that we going to have to do without, or worse share what we have.

If we can unfurl those white-knuckled fists of rage, we have a hand we can take, give, hold, and shake. We can use our collective hands to pull the weight, lift us up, and push us forward in the new information, and new industrial age and build a new world everything is done and thought of for the collective, common good.

Have you had enough?

How do you argue with the obvious?

The earth is not flat. Yet still, some people want to argue that. The earth is also not five thousand years old. Yet some people will not accept that as fact. The sky is not falling but the earth is warming and some still want to argue that.

Why with so much on the line people do not want to see what is right under their noses and ignore the proverbial elephant in the room. Unless they believe something is being taken away. Just because people want to ban assault rifles does not mean they want to stop you from being safe. It is all about safety. Please stop with the inane argues about a good person with a gun or teachers with guns. That is completely not reasonable. Think about it.

We all want to be safe. That is a given. What is up for debate is how we achieve security when there are so many variables. First is the protection of our children. You cannot argue with that. Therefore, why people cannot put that as their first priority and just do whatever it takes is unclear to me.

How many more children, teachers, administrators and others have to die? If we can see through the fog of misinformation and political propaganda, it will lead us to the all mighty dollar. It is all about profit and influence. That is all. If we can be truly honest, it is all about money. Moreover, it is about greed.

How much do you need? I can tell you I have had enough. It is obvious to me. Stop the sale of automatic weapons to start. You do not need them. You want them for whatever reason. They are weapons of war. What is needed is weapons of peace. Empathy. Love. Compassion. Understanding.

Do what you will, but hurt no one.
